Sidhu's Golden Fish and Chips in Wallsend, England has come under fire for its controversial ad, which likens its pizza crust to being thinner than the fashion designer. The ad, which is plastered on the back of the restaurant's delivery van, also shows a drawing of Beckham wearing a sash that reads, "Anorexic Fashion Icon."

A rep for Beckham issued the following statement to The Telegraph: "It is highly inappropriate to trivialise such a disorder, and defamatory to be so thoughtless with a person's reputation in this way, therefore we are taking legal advice." The Hollywood Reporter has also reached out for additional comments.

According to Sidhu's Facebook page, the ad has been removed as of 5:15 p.m. London time. The post also states that the restaurant has had "no official complaint from Mrs. Beckham or her legal team."

"No complaint has been made to us about the advert on our van but with the media hype the whole account has left our staff dejected," the Facebook post continues to read. "Our customers as ever have been fantastic, they're the best and Wallsend is the best in the world, but when a joke fails to gets laughs then it's time to change. This is the case with our advert as of today."

In a previous post, Sidhu's manager also issued a statement on eating disorders, writing, "I as the manger on the behalf of all our staff and owners would like to state we recognise how serious eating disorders are and would never make light the seriousness of people with eating disorders."

Beckham has previously credited her slim figure to a strict diet, not an eating disorder, when criticised about her weight.
