Still haven’t booked a summer getaway? Here’s an amazing new Flydubai route…

Charming towns, beautiful beaches, mouth-watering food… we could go on, but first we’ll tell you the good news. Low-cost airline Flydubai has just started offering direct flights between Dubai International Airport and Catania International Airport in Sicily, Italy.

Sicily is the gorgeous island located just off the toe of Italy’s boot, in the heart of the Mediterranean. Catania is the second largest city on the island, and boasts a UNESCO World Heritage city centre, with one of the world’s most active volcanoes, Mount Etna, as its smoldering backdrop. Way to add a little fire to your Instagram feed.

The new Flydubai service officially launched on June 13, and is operating out of Terminal 2 of DXB on a daily schedule. The flights are included in the codeshare arrangement with Emirates, so you can still earn those Skywards miles.

Return flights from Dubai start at Dhs1895… so what are you waiting for? Your body weight in cannoli awaits.
