This week, Woman's Day published a "report" stating that Bindi Irwin was falling for her good friend and fellow Australia Zoo worker Luke Reavley.

And, according to the magazine, sources claim their close bond is making Bindi's boyfriend of three years, Chandler Powell, "worried sick".

Well, surprise, surprise: It's a load of rubbish.

"This claim is completely untrue," a spokesperson for Australia Zoo tells TheFIX. "Luke is Terri’s Executive Assistant and has worked with the family for years. Although Bindi and Chandler are not married, they are firmly an item.

"If Woman's Day think that makes a triangle, I suggest they go back to school to study their geometry."

Bindi, 18, and Chandler, 20, first met in November 2013 when the American wakeboarder visited Australia Zoo on a trip Down Under.

"I was there holding my echidna and was like, oh I'll give this wakeboarder a tour," Bindi recalled to TODAY earlier this year. "And I met him and his family and went, gee, he's not too bad, is he?"

Since then - despite the thousands of kilometres separating Bindi's home in Queensland and Chandler's in Florida - the duo have been seemingly rock solid.

And through countless Instagrams documenting their holidays in the US and Australia, we've been given gorgeous insight into just how head-over-heels these two are.

Rarely does a post go by on either of their accounts that isn't met with a gushing comment from the other.

Being in love is the greatest adventure of all❤️ @chandlerpowell ☀️️

Exhibit A: Last week, Bindi shared a sweet photo embracing Chandler with the caption, "Being in love is the greatest adventure of all."

Chandler's response?

"Being in love has taught me to cherish every day. You make every single day such a blessing and I'm forever grateful that I get many many more to spend with you in this life ❤ ☀."

Their sweet social media tributes remind me of when Buddy screams, "I'm in love, I'm in love, and I don't care who knows it!" in Elf. And that's a beautiful thing.

But unfortunately, Bindi and Chandler's uncensored and clear adoration for one another makes them an easy target for jealous strangers.

In a jaded world full of constant tabloid affairs and scandals, maybe it's just too hard for some to stomach that two people in the public eye could genuinely, passionately love each other.

Despite the odds, these two crazy kids seem to have found absolute bliss with one another. So instead of trying to tear them apart, let's cheer them on – and maybe learn a thing or two about appreciating and acknowledging the ones we love along the way.
