Considering she’s a dab hand at running secret onion ring review Instagrams, putting out world-class bangers and looking like a fabulous New Zealand witch, we’re not surprised that Lorde is also good at divining the future.

The singer, real name Ella Yelich-O'Connor, revealed on Twitter today that a tweet she sent out on January 30th of this year was pretty spot-on with predicting what was to come.

Lorde tweeted: “these old men in power have a storm coming, the likes of which they cannot comprehend.”

In January, the 21-year-old could not have possibly been able to foresee what would come to happen with Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Spacey, Brett Ratner and the host of other men standing accused of heinous sexual crimes, nor the incredible cultural reaction that has followed.

Re-tweeting herself almost 12 months later, Lord acknowledged her own soothsaying skills, writing: “this came true i guess”.

It did come true, we guess! Not only has Hollywood shone a light on the sexual misconduct of many of the directors, actors and producers who have been standing in the shadows for too long, but there have also been some real consequences, too. Actors have been re-cast, production companies have made much-needed terminations, and there have been speeches, talks, TV specials, articles and magazine covers highlighting the injustices men and women have gone through.

Hey Lorde, do you think you could accurately predict something else? Maybe like an impeachment?
