Trevor Noah and Minka Kelly make 'plans for a future together'
He purchased a new mansion in Los Angeles' tony Bel-Air neighborhood in December.
And now Trevor Noah, 36, and his girlfriend Minka Kelly, 40, have moved into the $27.5 million home that Noah purchased for them, which was designed by LA architect Mark Rios.
The loved-up couple are already 'making plans for a future together,' a source close to the two told People on Thursday.
They added that the couple, who like to keep a low profile, 'are still really happy and in love' and in 'a very stable relationship.'
'They've been spending time between coasts over the last year and had been looking for a place in L.A. as a couple.'
Noah spends much of his time in New York City, where he hosts The Daily Show after having taken over for Jon Stewart in 2015.
In 2017 he purchased an apartment in the city for $10 million.
A source previously told People in August that Noah and Kelly were 'very serious' and 'very happy' about their relationship.
It wasn't until September that they were first glimpsed together, when they were seen arriving at his apartment in New York City and carrying some of her luggage up.
So far, the comedian and the actress haven't confirmed their romance.
Kelly was previously linked to Grey's Anatomy star Jesse Williams, but the relationship fizzled out in January 2018 amid his messy divorce from his ex-wife Aryn Drake-Lee.
Noah was last known to be in a relationship with the singer Jordyn Taylor in 2017, though it's unclear when the two split.
The Los Angeles Times reported that the comedian's new home purchase comes just months after he sold his previous mansion, also located in Bel-Air, for $21.7 million.
The new home for him and Kelly features an eye-catching boxy white design with copious windows for plenty of natural light and was originally designed and built by Rios for himself.
In 2017, he spoke with Architectural Digest about the mansion's Japanese-influenced design.
In contrast to the brilliant white exterior, the home's interior features 'heavy, dark timbers' that were inspired by rooms Rios had visited in Japan.
Privacy was a main concern for the home, which features 18-inch thick walls to help drown out noise from outside.
The home appears to be a series of stacked white containers when viewed from the front side, but it's more expansive when viewed from the back.
The floor have multiple sliding doors that open to the outside and the sloping back yard.
There's also a major rooftop terrace that the upper floors open on for entertaining guests.
Partygoers can easily move from the terrace into the rooftop screening room for more entertainment.
The rooftop area also features a luxurious infinity pool to cool down in on a hot day.
The minimalist interiors feature dark wood fixtures with beige hardwood floors and contrasting white walls.
The 11,000 square-foot home includes six bedrooms and 11 bathrooms.
In contrast with the dominating hardwood design, the bedrooms are carpeted and feature expansive views of the area.
The bathrooms are decorated with marble and some feature exits to the rooftop area.
Rios' design features an elegant library with a towering ceiling and dark wood shelves inspired by a room he visited in Kyoto.
Noah's new mansion was built with entertainment in mind, and its relaxing rooftop area features plenty of bar seating and a sofa surrounding a fire pit for chilly nights.
The screening room, with its multiple large sofas and a sizable bar, makes it easy to move the party back indoors.
The three-story mansion is outfitted with an elevator for convenience, as well as a spa and a steam room for luxurious pampering.
In early 2019, Noah purchased a similar mansion nearby in Bel-Air for $20.5 million, though he sold it later in the year for a $1.2 million profit.
Noah made his debut on The Daily Show as the program's Senior International Correspondent in 2014, and had a successful stand-up career prior.
In his 2016 memoir Born A Crime, the comedian opened up about his early years in South Africa, where the relationship between his Black mother and his white father was illegal until interracial relationship were decriminalized a year after his birth.
