It just a matter of days until The Voice returns to our screens for 2020 and we can't wait to see the incredible performers who get those big red chairs turning.

We've already seen a glimpse of what's to come in tantalising teasers for the show, and now we meet the show's first contenders.

Each of the hopefuls will be competing for a spot on one of the four judge's teams.

All four coaches, Guy Sebastian, Kelly Rowland, Delta Goodrem and George Boy, return this year, although one revealed that wasn't always the plan.

"We weren't meant to come back this year," Guy Sebastian told TV WEEK.

But all four coaches weren't ready to say goodbye to the show they'd come to love, or each other (at least when they're not fighting over a contestant).

"It's undoubtedly the best TV experience I've had," Guy added. "The fire this year is from Kelly [Rowland], she has come back ready to win this season."

Also back this year is host, Darren McMullen with help from Renee Bargh, both of whom are taking over from Sonia Kruger after she made the jump to Channel Seven to host Big Brother.

Kicking off this Sunday May 24th with the Blind Auditions, we can reveal who will be taking the stage first.
