Aussie model Erin McNaught has debuted her three-week-old baby boy Evander Maxwell Gleave and shared all the details about the childbirth in Who magazine.

The 32-year-old former Miss Australia and her British DJ husband Example (real name Elliot Gleave) welcomed their first bub on December 21, a week or so earlier than expected.

"I actually caught him and brought him straight up to my chest, so that was a really special moment," Erin tells the mag. "And then a minute later I was like, 'Oh! We don't even know what it is!' And I pulled him away and looked at him for the first time and went, 'It's a boy!'"

Erin had a low-risk pregnancy, prompting her to give birth with the help of a midwife.

"I strongly believe this choice enabled me to have the natural, active and completely drug-free birth I had planned," Erin says.

Erin's waters broke at 7am, her contractions started at 10am and she went to hospital at 11pm after spending the day at her parents' home in Brisbane, with her husband by her side.

By 2am, Evander had arrived… and Erin left the hospital just four hours later.

And while Erin says it was "petrifying" bringing her teeny-tiny newborn home, hubby Elliot has played the part of doting dad perfectly over the past few weeks.

"When I get up in the night-time I'll feed Van and then Elliot will quite often cuddle him and get him back to sleep," Erin reveals. "Elliot's got a bit of this baby-whisperer thing going on!"

Elliot describes his wife as "inspiring" and tells Who he's "utterly in love with my son".

Erin and Elliot, 32, plan to stay at her parents' place in Sanctuary Cove until March before heading back to their home in London.

"Oh God, I want another one already," Erin laughs. "Ideally I want three, but I'll just focus on the one for now."
