A new book is taking readers inside the Obama White House, offering an intimate look at the Obamas' residence and walking through the process of redecorating for Barack, Michelle, Sasha, and Malia's stay. The Obamas hired interior designer Michael S. Smith to lead their $1.5 million renovation of the residence ¿ which they paid for out of pocket ¿ and now the designer is showcasing his work in a new volume called Designing History: The Extraordinary Art & Style of the Obama White House.
