Sharp objects found in strawberries in South Australia logo 9/11/2018 Nick Pearson

© Shutterstock Police in South Australia have been alerted to two separate incidents of sharp objects being found in strawberries today.

The tampered-with strawberries were found in the Adelaide suburb of Salisbury and in the Clare region, further north.

It has not been revealed what the sharp objects were.

Police say they have not identified if the two acts of sabotage are linked.

Nobody was injured.

The public is being urged to slice up strawberries before eating them, and to report any contamination to police on 131 444.

Friday's contaminations come two months after widespread reports of tampered-with fruit, causing whole crops of strawberries to be discarded.
