Bui is currently a permanent citizen and was in the process of applying for her citizenship when she was allegedly caught with the drugs, The Daily Telegraph reported.

If convicted of commercial prohibited drug supply and prohibited drug possession charges she faces life behind bars.

Bui, who has no criminal record, was seen trying to cover her face as she left court on Tuesday.

According to police, Bui works multiple casual roles and lives with her boyfriend, who paid $5,000 for her bail.

Her bail conditions include that she must report to police four times a week, cannot travel internationally and has a curfew between 11pm and 5am.

She is due to face Burwood Local Court again on March 11.

Another 24-year-old woman admitted to smuggling 79 MDMA pills internally for her friends at the same festival.

She pleaded guilty to prohibited drug supply after drug dogs found the scent on her.

The woman told police she was hiding MDMA capsules inside her body and was arrested and strip searched.

During the strip-search she removed a condom that contained 79 MDMA capsules,.

'Police unwrapped the packaging and found there were two layers of condoms and two layers of plastic heat-sealed packaging in which there were two separate resealable plastic bags, one of which contained 50 capsules and the other containing 29,' police facts stated.

She is due to be sentenced at Burwood Local Court on March 11.
