
Volunteer firefighter handed suspended sentence
An intellectually impaired volunteer firefighter, who lit nine fires in Perth’s east, has avoided being sent back to jail after a judge ruled there were exceptional circumstances that meant a suspended sentence was the appropriate penalty.
