Between 1937 and 1949 J.R.R. Tolkien wrote one of the most popular books of all time - The Lord of the Rings. It was split into three parts: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King. It was the sequel to Tolkien's earlier 1937 success The Hobbit. As LOTR marks 60 years since its release we look at the bestselling books of all time. How many do have you read?

Please note: Religious books and others like "Don Quixote," "Les Miserables" and "Pride and Prejudice" have not been including due to non-availability of accurate sales figures.
