David Warner's run-filled summer seemingly has no limits, taking his form to India and posting his fifth century of the season in the ODI series opener.

Warner brought up his hundred off just 88 balls on Tuesday night, as Australia charged towards victory in Mumbai.

Enjoying arguably the best form of his career, Warner let off his trademark leap after he ran Jasprit Bumrah down to third man for his century.

The left-hander also passed 1100 runs for the season across all formats in the knock, with his average now sitting at above 160.

His season has also included his maiden Twenty20 century against Sri Lanka and the second highest Test score in Australian history with 335no against Pakistan.

But Tuesday night's knock was as dominant as any.

The 33-year-old punished quick Shardul Thakur as he helped take 32 off him in a three over spell, while he also hit sixes off spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja.

By the time he passed 100, he had already his 13 fours and three sixes.

It also made for his third one-day century in 11 games since his return from the ball-tampering scandal, after dominating last year's World Cup.
