Rock and roll travel: Aberdeen, Washington, US

April 5, 2014 marks the 20th anniversary of the death of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, and this year on February 19 his hometown of Aberdeen, Washington, USA hosted its first ever annual Kurt Cobain Day. There are no organised Nirvana tours in the small logging town Cobain once described as being like 'Twin Peaks without the excitement', but fans can walk by his childhood home at 1210 East First Street and visit Kurt Cobain Landing (pictured), a small park at the foot of the Young Street Bridge, inspiration for the Nirvana song Something in the Way.

So where else can devoted music fans pay homage to their music heroes?
