Cash says if Labor was elected they would have abolished the ABCC under orders from Setka

June 13, 2019. The Minister for Employment, Michaelia Cash in Canberra responds to media questioning about if the government will consider bringing in stage 2 of the planned tax cuts early to stimulate the economy. Ms Cash states the Australian people endorsed the plan at the election and the tax plan should be passed in full over the planned period. She is also asked should the government legislate and have the power deregister the CFMEU. "Can I remind you that if Labor had been elected on Saturday the 18th, their first act of business was to actually capitulate to John Setka and the CFMEU and abolish the Australian Building and Construction Commission," Ms Cash says.
