'NSW blessed to have Gladys': Liberal abortion bill opponents still back Premier Berejiklian

Caption: August 21, 2019. Attorney-General Mark Speakman and Police Minister David Elliott speak to the media in Sydney about Premier Gladys Berejiklian's leadership and the bill to decriminalise abortion in NSW. The NSW upper house is continuing to debate the draft legislation to remove abortion from the Crimes Act but will not reach a final vote this week. Mr Speakman and Mr Elliott oppose the bill but both publicly backed Ms Berejiklian to continue as Premier, with the latter saying NSW is "blessed to have a strong leader". "I am very confident Gladys Berejiklian will be leading us into the next election," Mr Speakman tells reporters. (AAP VIDEO/Callum Godde)
