Aerial footage of collapsed floor in Hawaii volcano crater

The US Geological Survey released new footage of the Pu‘u ‘Ō‘ō crater in the eastern rift zone of the Kīlauea volcano in Hawaii on May 12, after the crater’s floor collapsed on April 30.The floor collapsed after magma drained to the east along the east rift zone, the US Geological Survey said. The organization estimated the deepest part of the crater was 350 meters (1150 ft) below the crater rim. Credit: US Geological Survey via Storyful
