Baby Orangutan practices climbing skills
Denver Zoo’s infant orangutan Cerah is growing up fast as she approaches her first birthday, and the zoo shared an update on the ape on February 5 to allow her fans a glimpse at her progress. Cerah is seen practicing her climbing skills while Nias, her mum, stays nearby, keeping a close eye on the youngster. “Our nine-month-old Sumatran orangutan still spends most of her time with her mom, Nias, and big sister, Hesty, but she’s getting more independent each day,” wrote the zoo.
