Diver films lionfish being eaten

An invasive species of fish is caught and eaten by a queen triggerfish in a gruesome attack filmed off the coast of Cuba The diver was in the Caribbean Sea, off Cayo Anclitas, when he captured the rare moment, in June 2018, a poisonous lionfish was eaten by a fish that isn't a shark or grouper. Todd, who filmed this attack, claimed: "This is the first recorded sighting of a fish, other than shark or grouper, eating a lionfish." The lionfish has destroyed most of the ecosystems in the Caribbean Sea and throughout Florida, and has no natural predators. The filmer commented: "This is a positive sign that life can adapt and start finding ways to restore balance to the reef ecosystems."
