Qld tops nation for child detention and youth repeat offenders

Damning new figures reveal more than half of Queensland youth offenders released from supervision in the 2019-20 financial year were back before the courts within 12 months. The report has also found the state now has the highest average number of people in youth detention in the country and the worst figures for nights spent in custody.
