Biden speaks about U.S. airstrikes in Syria following death of American contractor
U.S. President Joe Biden spoke Friday about recent airstrikes conducted by military forces in Syria on two sites affiliated with Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. The strikes were in retaliation after an American contractor was killed in Syria by a suspected Iranian-made drone. Biden said he approved the strike and sent his condolences to the loved ones of the person killed. He added the U.S. does not seek conflict with Iran, but that the country should "be prepared for us to act forcefully to protect our people."
