World Car Awards Candidates revealed for World Car 2018

The journey on The Road to World Car 2018 began today at the Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA) with the release of a preliminary list of candidates in six categories, including the overall World Car of the Year.

The Road to World Car encompasses more than 80 international automotive jurors as they test-drive and tell the stories of the eligible cars in six categories prior to voting by secret ballot in January 2018.

The journey includes a stop in Los Angeles for test-drives in November and another at the Geneva International Motor Show in March when the top three finalists in each category will be declared.

It ends at the New York International Auto Show on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 with the announcement of the winners in the six categories and the official opening of the New York show.

It will be the 12th year of World Car's partnership with the New York show, and the fifth consecutive year that the World Car Awards have retained their ranking as the No.1 automotive awards program in the world in terms of media reach.
