Suzuki Swift Sport

In North America, Suzuki is in desperate need of a new metal. Its Grand Vitara and SX4 compact crossovers are aging rapidly, and the Kizashi, while a commendable performer, is too expensive and sells in too few numbers to hold the company up on its own. The answer to its problems could very well come in the form of this sharp little hatchback.Making its debut at Frankfurt is the Swift Sport three-door. Like the similarly sized Mazda2, the Swift is all about driving fun: it's a flyweight at around 1,000 kilos, has a Euro-tuned suspension, and packs a free-revving 1.6-litre four-cylinder that makes 134 hp and is mated to a six-speed manual. Needless to say, on a twisty road, it will definitely put a smile on your face. Suzuki, get on this one, stat.
