Toyota EV Prototype

Easily overlooked on the Toyota stand is the iQ-based EV, a smart, ultracompact, all-electric city car. It will go on sale in Japan next year, targeted toward drivers who don't need a hybrid's range. It uses lithium-ion batteries that take up little space yet give a 100-km range. Remarkably, it still retains full four-seat capacity. How clever is that? Even smarter will be if Aston Martin launches a Cygnet EV derivative.
