Tokyo is known for its crazy concepts — this year's selection didn't disappoint

The Tokyo auto show is always good for concepts that are unfettered by conventional notions of what an automobile should be. That was certainly the case this year. A couple of automakers showed concepts that seemed like previews of production cars coming soon. But they were outnumbered by the Tokyo-typical array of wacky re-imaginings of the whole concept of auto-mobility. Common themes were electric powertrains, inter-connectedness between man, machine and environment, and extreme smallness.
