J.D. Power APEAL study finds out which rides are most appealing

So you're about to spend big bucks on a new car, truck, or minivan. You've done your research, test-driven a few cars, and are in the home stretch. Chances are, while you might be focused on things like the monthly payment and operating costs, it's worth considering how satisfying your new vehicle will be to own. After all, there's a pretty good chance you'll be in it for the long haul. That's where J.D. Power's APEAL survey comes into play. APEAL, which stands for Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout, takes into consideration characteristics that new owners like, including, ride, handling and brake, comfort and convenience, and styling. Think of it this way - while J.D. Power's other surveys - IQS (Initial Quality Survey), and VDS (Vehicle Dependability Study) look at the things that go wrong, APEAL looks at what is right.Click through the gallery to see which vehicles topped their respective categories.
