A nice interior makes all the difference in a new car. Here are the best new cabins in the business.

Here’s a funny fact about car buying: Exterior design plays a much more important role in the decision making process than the interior. Marketers know that styling triggers emotions, but at the end of the day, you’re going to spend a lot more time inside the car, facing the steering wheel and dashboard, changing the stereo settings, and interacting with the controls. Shouldn’t you spend more time evaluating the cabin? With this in mind, industry analytics firm Ward’s Auto reviewed 41 new or significantly redesigned interiors and from its rigorous evaluations, has determined the best new interiors for 2014. During the evaluation, Ward’s evaluated such interior qualities as ergonomics, driver information, fit-and-finish, materials, value, safety, comfort and “design harmony”. Among its findings, Ward’s found new interior features such as massaging seats, applications of ambient lighting, a key that can’t be locked in the trunk and a headliner that mimics a starry sky.
