Did you think that Canada, kind, modest nation of happy, cheery people, would be an easy place to park your car? Did you think that, heck, the country is mostly wheat fields and frozen tundra -- how much could parking really cost, anyway?Think again. According to new research from real estate firm Cushman & Wakefield, the national average cost to park a car in Canada is $251 per month, and that figure skews even higher when you enter the country's largest cities. Using Cushman & Wakefield's Canadian data, we paired it with recent figures from Colliers International to find out just how much those who live in Canada's costliets cities for parking pay compared to the rest of the world — and if they should be complaining.*All figures in CAD.
