A tribute to George Barris, the "King of the Kustomizers"

The world of custom cars wasn't invented by one man alone. Many have put their heart and soul into creating a different sort of car. But there's one man who left an impression on not only the auto industry, but also the world of movies and television.Although he is best known for the original Batmobile — which just sold for over $4 million at Barrett-Jackson auctions in Arizona — George Barris lent his touch to many other brilliant vehicles. His passion for automobiles began in the '40s and today it's as strong as ever. MSN Autos decided to pay tribute to one of the most important figures in the world of customization. And as you'll see this isn't ordinary customizing. This gallery is divided into three sections: Movies and TV, Novelties, and Kustoms & Hot Rods (the K in Kustoms is a Barris touch).
