The one with the road atlas

In the days before head restraints were a standard feature on cars, an examiner gave the signal to the candidate to make an emergency stop. His candidate reacted promptly and brought the car to an abrupt halt. However, the examiner had not noticed a large hard-backed road atlas on the rear parcel shelf and as the candidate hit his brakes, the atlas flew forwards and hit the examiner across his neck, knocking him out cold. The quick-thinking candidate drove the examiner to the nearest hospital. Nobody knows whether the candidate passed his driving test or not.
