Look for unlocked doors

We start here with the biggest "duh" item on this list for crooks. By some estimates, about half of all vehicles stolen are left unlocked, so thieves would do best to target forgetful motorists that leave their cars ripe for the picking. An added bonus may be finding a ride with the windows rolled down, too.
