Canada may be on track for a record-breaking year of car sales, but this lot didn't help much

New car and trucks retailers in Canada should be happy. Sold cars have been tallied, and through to the end of June, 883,667* new passenger car and trucks left showrooms, an increase of 2.2 per cent compared to 2012. That could very well make 2013 the best year in car sales since 2002. With over 60,000 copies sold so far this year, Ford’s F series family of full-size pickups is one again the most popular new vehicle in Canada. However, where there are winners you’ll also find losers. So excluding over-$100,000 luxury vehicles, low-volume sports cars, discontinued brands and models, and vehicles that were replaced with new versions last year, here are Canada's 10 least-popular cars so far in 2013:*Sources: DesRosiers & Associates, Source: Automotive News Data Center, Association of Global Automakers of Canada (GAC) and automaker supplied data. Based on retails sales in Canada between January 1 and June 30, 2013.
