Don’t let the cold season intimidate you. Throw on winter tires, load up the car and face winter like a true Canuck by taking a drive down one of the country’s most scenic roads

"Sunday driver" has long been an epithet hurled at those who dare to meander along our highways and byways. When you're trying to get to work, there are few things more annoying. But if it's actually Sunday, and it's you behind the wheel, a Sunday drive is a beautiful thing. We Canadians all know that wherever we live, we practically live in four different places, so distinct are our seasons that they have a profound effect on our surroundings. Winter, with its layers of pristine snow and the eerie beauty of leafless deciduous trees, is especially beautiful from inside a warm car. The cold often also brings a lot less traffic to popular drive routes, so load up the iPod, pack some snacks, get yourself some decent tires and take a fresh look at your country from behind the wheel. Here are 10 stunning Sunday drives to consider this winter.
