Mini's new scooter is the latest two-wheeled creation by a car brand

As well as showcasing its latest cars at the LA Auto Show this week MINI also unveiled this, its Citysurfer concept. And, yes, it's a scooter.

This is a scooter for grown-ups, though; in fact, Mini describes it as: "an innovative concept providing increased flexibility for individual mobility in conurbation areas". It folds to fit in the boot of a MINI, while a tiny electric motor built into the rear wheel can propel the rider for up to 15 miles on one charge. 

At the moment the Citysurfer is just a concept, but it looks production-ready to us and is just one of the fabulous creations that are the result of car companies switching their attentions from four wheels to two...
