You spend countless hours behind the wheel. Why not spend them in comfort and style?

Not long ago, a vehicle’s interior was rarely the stuff of celebration, unless of course you were throwing out big bucks for something with a prestige badge attached. However, automakers have gotten the message that buyers are getting much pickier about things like softer materials, smaller panel gaps and levels of safety, comfort and technology.WardsAuto, the group behind the Best Engines award, decided to tackle the subject of car cabins with the same level of scrutiny it applies to powertrains. Now in its third year, the Ward’s 10 Best Interiors have been announced for 2013.Out of 46 vehicles with all-new or significantly updated interiors, WardsAuto selected 10 that it felt were the best. Things considered during the evaluation process included, “materials, ergonomics, comfort, safety, value, fit-and-finish and overall design. Scores also are applied based on the user-friendliness of the human-machine interface and the ability to link mobile phones and access vehicle information.”No price cap was set, although the most expensive selection, the Lexus GS 450h, is still comfortably under the psychological $100,000 barrier.Click through to see the choices in alphabetical order.
