Your steering wheel is dirtier than a toilet seat

And not just a bit - it's nine times dirtier, to be exact. That's what researchers at London's Queen Mary University found. Public toilet seats host on average 80 different bacteria per square inch. But on a steering wheel, their study revealed that there are no less than 700 per square inch! That number can climb to 1,000 in the trunk! Why the difference? Though we often clean our homes, we pretty much never clean the inside of our cars. Considering that many people eat in their car, that number becomes even greater. Your best bet: stock up on antibacterial wipes!
