Ten great nameplates back from the scrapheap in the sky

The music world is filled with one-hit wonders and time-tested classics. The same can be said about automobiles; some models are flashes in the pan, and some — like the Ford Mustang, Porsche 911 and Honda Civic — display uncanny staying power. Most of the one-hitters fall into obscurity, their names disappearing from manufacturer lineups forever. However, a lucky few get a new life. In fact, resurrecting famous nameplates of the past has become a popular trend.
