Burt Reynolds' car collection is going under the hammer at an auction in Las Vegas.

The late star's 1978 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am, which is a replica of car he drove in Smokey and the Bandit, and a copy of the Trans Am used in Hooper are expected to be the hottest items up for grabs on 29 September (18) at the Mandalay Bay resort.

There will also be a recreation of the 1987 Chevrolet R30 pick-up that featured in Burt's film Cannonball Run.

The entire lot is expected to fetch upwards of $1 million (£760,000).

The auction will be televised live on Velocity and the Discovery Channel.

Reynolds, who passed away earlier this month (Sep18) at the age of 82 and was cremated at the Gold Coast Crematory in Florida, was laid to rest during a private memorial at Family Church in West Palm Beach, Florida on Wednesday (19Sep18).
