Quebec Health and Social Services Minister Danielle McCann and Minister of Labour and Employment Jean Boulet announced on Wednesday the gradual reopening of private health care services everywhere in Quebec as of June 1. The list includes dental care, optometry, physiotherapy, nutrition services, family counselling, and other services. She added that both customers and workers must follow public health guidelines and continue practicing social distancing measures wherever possible. Quebec recorded 578 new infections, bringing the province’s total to 44,775 on Wednesday. The respiratory illness also saw the deaths of 71 more Quebecers. The death toll stands at 3,718.
