Media scrutiny is at an all time high for the First Lady following worrying footage which emerged from the Inauguration ceremony which showed the former model looking sad and desolate prompting the #FreeMelania.

The 46-year-old has been hiding out in her New York penthouse in Trump Tower and she’s recently brainstormed her very hashtag which she ends each of her tweets with: ‘#PowerOfTheFirstLady.’

Unfortunately, it’s not too clear what the hashtag actually means.

One user tweeted, ‘Can someone please explain what the #Powerofthefirstlady hashtag means?’ while another said, ‘#Powerofthefirstlady sounds like an ad tagline for antiperspirant.’

The new hashtag has garnered a lot of attention online, with many people coming up with their own meanings for the tagline.

Meanwhile, the White House administration has insisted that Melania will be moving to Washington later this year and will be splitting her time between New York and D.C. for the time being.

In a statement they said: ‘Mrs Trump is honoured to serve this country and is taking the role and responsibilities of first lady very seriously. It has only been a short time since the inauguration and the first lady is going to go about her role in a pragmatic and thoughtful way that is unique and authentic to her.’
