Tyler Perry Praises ‘Princess Meghan’ Markle In Birthday Tribute: ‘I’ve Watched You Endure Things’

Tyler Perry heaped praise on "Princess Meghan" Markle in a birthday message he shared on Instagram and Twitter one day after the Duchess of Sussex turned 41.

Perry, 52, posted a photo of Meghan in South Africa as she knelt and kissed the hand of a young girl during the royal's 2019 official tour of the country.

"I’ve had a front row seat in your life for the past few years," Perry wrote on Friday. "I’ve watched you endure things that would have broken a lot of people." He added, "I'm so incredibly proud to see how happy you, your husband, and your kids are now. It fills me with joy to say Happy Birthday Princess Meghan."

Meghan, Prince Harry and their son Archie stayed at Perry's Los Angeles home shortly after the couple officially stepped down as senior working royals and moved to the U.S.

Perry's birthday message followed an outpouring of birthday wishes from members of the royal family, including Prince William and Kate Middleton, on Thursday August 4, Meghan's actual birthday.

William and Kate shared a photo of Meghan in a stunning white ensemble from her recent visit to the U.K. for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, posted a similar photo from her and Prince Harry's U.K. trip in June.

Meghan will no doubt be spending her special day with Harry and their kids, Archie, 3, and Lilibet, 1, in California, where they now live.
