Pedestrian dead after being struck by vehicle: Police

Saskatoon police are investigating after a vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian on Sunday.

Officers were called to the intersection of 22nd Street West and Avenue X South around 7:15 p.m., police said in a release.

A vehicle travelling eastbound on 22nd Street struck a 62-year-old man as he was attempting to cross. Police said the man later died in hospital.

No further information was released.
