Jonah Hill is virtually unrecognisable as he shows off huge three stone weight loss out in LA

Jonah Hill was barely recognisable when he was spotted out and about in Los Angeles this week.

The 33-year-old actor looked trimmer than ever when photographed walking solo through West Hollywood on Tuesday.

The star's slim legs were on display in a pair of shorts, though he hid his face under a beanie hat and shades.

When quizzed about his transformation recently, he told Jimmy Fallon that he had help from buff Hollywood star Channing Tatum.

"And he said, 'Yes, you dumb motherf****r, of course you will, it's the simplest thing in the entire world.'"

"It was just mostly diet. I wish there was some crazy thing that I did, like a pill or a genie or something," he shared.

Jonah, who has two films slated for a 2018 release, added to ABC news: "It's so annoying because when I don't drink beer, I get really really thin. Then when I drink beer, I get a little bigger."
