July 17, 1918: Romanov family is executed

Tsar Nicholas II of the Russian Empire, his family, including his wife Tsarina Alexandra and five children Olga, Tatiana, Maria, Anastasia and Alexei, and some of their servants were shot to death by Bolsheviks at the Ipatiev House in Yekaterinburg, Russia.
