The Internet buzzed this month when the History Channel claimed a new photo proved American aviator Amelia Earhart had survived her final flight and was captured by the Japanese. The theory was quickly debunked when blogger Kota Yamano found the image in a book published two years prior to her voyage. So what did happen to Earhart?
