Indo-Pacific strategy includes $2.2B investment over five years
Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly unveiled the federal government’s new Indo-Pacific strategy on Sunday, which she said would include a $2.2 billion investment in the region over five years. Joly said the investment would include a half-billion dollars to deploy more naval frigates to areas like the South China Sea and engage in military training operations with Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines.
