A world in white: Frozen sights around the globe

As a fierce cold wave grips much of Central and Eastern U.S. – with temperatures dipping to as low as −32 °F (−36 °C) in some places – it’s no wonder that many rivers, fountains and lakes have turned into frozen white wonders. Here are a few locations in the U.S. and around the world showing just how cold it has gotten this winter season.
