Tori Golka, 24, was reported missing March 13 after she was supposed to pick up her 3-year-old son in Grapevine but never made it, Grapevine police said in a Facebook post. She had been at her boyfriend's apartment in Grapevine earlier that day, police said.

Golka's disappearance began to get increasing attention when her cellphone pinged off of a tower in the coastal town of Aransas Pass.

Sunday afternoon, sometime between 1 p.m., and about 2:30 p.m,., Golka walked into the Portland Police Department, about 18 miles from Aransas Pass.

"Golka told police she had learned she was reported missing, and wanted to let them know she was safe," Grapevine police said.

At this point, police have no information about where she had been during the week. No criminal charges are pending, Grapevine police said.

Portland police did not immediately return a call for comment.
