Conor McGregor answered Donald Cerrone’s callout after ‘Cowboy’ knocked out Alexander Hernandez at UFC Brooklyn.

Following Donald Cerrone’s dominant performance over Alexander Hernandez at UFC Brooklyn, the ‘Cowboy’ once again called the former two-division champion out to face him in a lightweight matchup, but this time around, ‘The Notorious’ actually answered the challenge.

“For a fight like that, Donald. I’ll fight you. Congratulations,” McGregor wrote.

Most recently, Conor McGregor (21-4) faced Khabib Nurmagomedov for the lightweight championship at UFC 229 this past October. He lost the fight via submission in the fourth round. Conor’s last win came in November 2016, when he knocked out Eddie Alvarez in the first round to become the lightweight champion.

Donald Cerrone picked up his first lightweight win since 2015, following a 10-fight stint at welterweight. Currently on a two-fight winning streak, Cowboy also submitted Mike Perry before taking on Hernandez. The 35-year-old’s last loss happened in June 2018, when Leon Edwards bested him via unanimous decision.
