The Blackhawks signed goaltender Collin Delia to a three-year contract extension worth $3 million, the team announced Monday morning.

Delia has gone 6-2-3 with a 2.98 goals-against average and .923 save percentage in 12 games this season since being called up to the NHL in December. His save percentage is tied for 12th in the league among goalies with at least 10 appearances.

Prior to his call up, the 24-year-old netminder was 7-5-4 with a 2.34 GAA and .933 save percentage in 17 AHL games. He limited opponents to two or fewer goals in 11 of his 19 games, and made 30-plus saves in 11 of his 19 contests as well. At the time of his promotion, he ranked among the top five of AHL goalies in save percentage (first), saves (second, 540) and GAA (third).

Chicago signed Delia as an undrafted free agent in July 2017, he has played in 14 career NHL games in his two seasons with Chicago.

Delia was set to become a restricted free agent this summer. Chicago now has five roster players with RFA status: defensemen Carl Dahlstrom, Gustav Forsling and Slater Koekkoek and forwards David Kampf and Brendan Perlini.
